comm antenna inside of aft fuselage?

Is there any information regarding placing the comm antenna inside the fuselage tailcone area?
Seems to be adequate room for placement. Will it work properly if placed inside?

Yes, Many have done this with a variety of different antenna designs, including off the shelf antennas.
