Q1_Aircraft: Re: engine and tail mod was created by Tri-Q1
Hi Mark,

I have the tail mod and can report how useful it is as I have my 25#
battery in there near the part line. I also have had several rough
landings when I first started flying my Q1. It is stronger than is
needed for a rudder support and tailwheel mounting structure. My
empty weight is 424# and I fly at 675#.

These are great single place aircraft when given enough power. Please
visit and add photos in PHOTOS section.

Hi Team

Can anyone offer any comments on Atkins rotary and Camdon supar chargers
thay have offered me a turnkey engine single rotor for $4595.00 and $6595.00
for the fuel injected one. Any good or bad points please as its a long way
to New Zealand and if I go with this engine I have to ask all the
questions...
The other question I had was The factory tail cut mod has anybody had any
problems with it as the tail has been cut and the glass work done except for
the 9bid pads for the alloy plates
