Main Tank Removal

{gallery}galleries/MainTank{/gallery}

Above are some pictures - Before and After I removed the main fuel tank from my Q-200.  They clearly show that the baffles were not touching the bottom of the fuselage.  (They should be in there tight to provide support for the people climbing in and out of the cockpit.)

They also show that the fuel guage, fuel tubing, and slot cut-out for CS-13 were not properly sealed.  There was a LOT of bare foam touching fuel in here.  Some of that fuel had wicked into the sides of the fuselage.  I spent several days drying everything out with a hairdryer.

While I was at it, I enlarged the hole in the seat back bulkhead.  This should allow for easier routing of cables and control system parts.  (I hope!) Wink
