Hour 46 - More Foam Removal

{flv}construction/hour046{/flv}

In my last video I was removing foam near the top of the firewall in order to create a recess to install LAST-A foam from Aircraft Spruce.  Well in this hour I continue removing foam in front of the canopy for the same reason.  I am using a combination of wire brushes, drill bits, and saws to remove the foam without damaging the top layer of glass.

My intention is to cut out a piece of foam that will fit perfectly into the area that needs to be filled, wet bot surfaces with a micro slurry, and then press the foam up into place.  Holding everything into place with extra pieces of insulating foam and letting the whole thing cure.

So far, the process is working well.  I'll continue the cutting and fitting of the LAST-A foam in my next hour.

As always I invite your feedback below, or in the forums!
