Hour 83 - Nailing it all together

{flv}construction/hour083{/flv}

In this video I'm using a little pneumatic nailer I bought from Harbor Freight Tools to nail the jig together.  This is actually my third attempt at this.  (It's nice not having to show you all my mistakes.)

At any rate, in the previous video, I lined up the FRONT edges of the jig parts before snading them with the belt sander.  However, I initially made the mistake of aligning the BACK edges when I nailed everything together.

For some reason it just felt easier to start on the BIG end, but of course that's wrong.  To make a long story short, the video shows it being done correctly.  Start at the front (small end) and once that's all lined up, you can nail on the back piece.

Current members of the Quickie Builders Association have access to the full construction video, instructions, and a full sized template that will allow them to make a jig of their own.

Become a member, and you'll have access to all this in Q-talk Issue 139 found in the online newlsetter archive!  Or you can just stay tuned for the next few months and see me build the rest of it here for free!   Undecided
