Second Annual Mattoon Fly-In
June 29, 30 and July 1
(Please note the date change from issue 85.)
Be sure to come to the second annual Mattoon Fly-in held at the very accommodating Mattoon-Cole County (MTO) airport. This fly-in will be casual and promises to offer plenty of time to ask questions, discuss problems and check out planes on the field. The FBO has offered the Quickie / Dragonfly group the use of a VERY large hanger for the entire weekend at no cost. All of the planes that attend will easily fit inside this huge hanger.
There is an air conditioned restaurant on the field with good food and we will have access to their banquet room.
You can camp at the airport including showers for free or there are a couple of motels less than a mile away. Listed below are two of the preferred hotels. If you are flying in, please try to choose one of these to help with transportation.
Super 8 Motel
FYI- Both locations offer AAA discount.
