This is a warm invitation to attend the fourth annual tandem wing fly-in at Mattoon, Illinois. Friday. June 27 - Sunday. June 29. We really enjoyed seeing all of you at last year's event and would very much like to see you again this year. The airport manager.. Coles County Airport (MTO) has two wide and long runways (29-11 and 24-06) and for those who fly the older ty pe of aircraft, ihere is a grass strip (36-18). Use right hand pattern for 11 and 6. This is a non-controlled field and Unicom is 122.7 and AWOS is broadcasted on the VOR 109.4.
The airport has a full sen ice FBO. Camping w ill be allowed on the grounds or a sleeping bag could be used inside the offices of the building w here our aircraft will be hangared. For those of you w ho would prefer to sleep in a real bed. a group of hotels is located one mile west of the airport on state highway 16 and 1 57.

Transportation will be provided to and from the hotels for those w ho fly in. Although the core of the event w ill be on Saturday, plan to fly or drive in on Friday afternoon for extra visiting time.
