How long one cuts a foam block before using the hot wire is such an insignificant part of building as to be irrelevant.
Cutting the foam blocks is irrelevant only if you're using a properly set-up CNC hot wire machine. However, it becomes VERY relevant when a person is manually cutting a tapered airfoil using templates.
The distance BETWEEN the templates, and their relative position on the end of the foam blocks determines the proper taper, sweep, and twist in the finished wing.
Again, I appreciate your constructive comments, but a little humility is also appreciated. Let's share our experience, and not laud it over others.
Enough said, just take it easy my friend, don't beat up on others, that's all I'm asking. I will try to do the same.
Thanks,
