Hour 40 - Sitting Under the Canopy

{flv}construction/hour040{/flv}

In this clip, I am doing some more rough shaping on the bottom of the canopy frame.  What I discovered, is that I need a better tool for this.  (Pehaps the butchers knife called out for in the Quickie plans?) Tongue out

At any rate, I got the shape so that I thought it was "good enough" using just a sanding block, and a coping saw.  Then I placed the canopy frame back on the airframe and began testing it out.

It looked so good I just couldn't resist sitting in the cockpit, and making some more engine noises!

As always I invite your feedback below, or in the forums!

  • Dan Yager  - Thanks. . .

    Yes, I'm still planning on using a Corvair conversion. I just got back from Corvair College #14, and I have my core engine pulled apart and almost ready to start rebuilding. I'll post some pictures and videos soon!
