Hi Guys,
I am up to fitting the elevators (Page 10-8) and the QCSM1 reducers are missing. I have looked through the paperwork and the listing on the bill of materials is illegible. I was wondering if anyone knows what the reducer material is made from (Steel or Aluminium).
I am hoping that the elevator and the control rod have been drilled through the centreline but if not I will be making a new set of control rods as well.
The joys of restoring a 30+ year old aircraft.
Thank you for your help in advance

Hey Paul,
Good to hear from you. I was also (at one time) restoring a 30+ year old Q-200, and I remember that it took me forever to remove QCSM1 from the elevator torque tube due to corrosion. Perhaps that's why the fact that it is aluminum sticks out in my mind so clearly!
BTW: QCSM1 is also used as a spacer on the Ailerons and the Rudder.
I created dimensional drawings for all of the metal parts as I removed them from my aircraft.
Those can be found in the store
here
.
They are also included in the "Ultimate Q-200 Package" found
here
.
Hope this helps . . . Please let me know.
Thanks,
