Hey Member, Don’t despair. . . We’ve almost made it through the winter doldrums.
As we begin our 31st year, spring will once again bloom and herald yet another fine season for building and flying. Here’s a quick shot of Jerry Marstall taken by his wife in her Sundowner to get your blood circulating again.
I appreciated all of the help I received this issue, as some of you took Jerry’s “New Year’s Resolution” from the Q-list seriously and sent me articles for the newsletter. I ended up with enough material to fill this one, plus about 1/3 of the next. Thank you.
Now, for those of you who already broke your New Year’s resolution and didn’t send anything, please remember that it’s not too late. I have heard from several members who’ve stated that they don’t have anything to contribute; they are just rebuilding their carburetor, or sanding filler. Hey at least send a picture! Besides, I don’t know how to rebuild a carburetor, and I’m sure there are several other members who don’t either.
Just because something seems simple to you, doesn’t mean others will see it that way. We can all learn from your experiences. So don’t be shy, and share what you’re doing with the group. Since the invention of the internet, there is no longer a need (or an excuse) to work in a vacuum. So keep those letters and e-mails coming in.
Remember, "Together we build better planes" (and newsletters.)
Warm regards, Dan Yager QBA Editor www.quickheads.com
