Does any one know what type of foam was used on the original Q-2 and Q-200 fuselage kits?
Thanks
Nate

Hi Nat,
I imagine that both Quickies were built using exactly the same materials as Rutan's models. I mean, not only the same materials but also the same materials for the same structures. Thus, I think that best will be to refer you to the booklet Moldless Composite Sandwich Aircraft Construction by Burt Rutan. Last Edition is of October 2005, first was in the seventies. Here you find not only a list of materials but also a complete instruction on building with sandwich composites.
There is also a description of the foams in "Complete Guide to Rutan Aircraft" by Downie. The book is out of print but you get easily a used copy through
www.abebooks.com for a few $.
