I'm taking a little break from sanding, and I've decided to build the frame to re-build the main tank. After looking at the back issues of Q-talk I've decided to deviate from the plans a bit when building my frame.
The plans have you build two small teardrop shaped templates out of plywood and then form the tank around the outside. I plan to do the opposite and build a female jig that will hold the foam in shape while the fiberglass is curing.
If my plan works out, I think this will be a much simpler solution than trying to clamp everything in place while doing the fiberglass work. Wish me luck!
As always I invite your feedback below, or in the forums!
